Kenn Hess: Class of 1948. Kenn distinguished himself as an outstanding sports writer. He began writing sports for the high school yearbook and newspaper and had an outstanding career writing for both The World and Oregonian newspapers.
Elizabeth “Bette” Larsen: Bette taught at NBHS from 1954-1977. She started the modern dance program, synchronized swimming and was the art department chairperson. She was an important role model for many students.
Dick Doyle: Class of 1961. Dick distinguished himself as an honor student and three sport athlete. He excelled in football where he received all-league honors and played in the Shrine All-Star game. He went on to have a successful career as a high school coach and administrator.
Brady Scott: Class of 1982. Brady was an outstanding three sport athlete in football, wrestling and track. He was a state champion in wrestling his senior year. He now serves as CEO of the Coquille Indian Tribe.
Glen Gardiner: Class of 1989. Glen was an outstanding honor student and athlete. He excelled in cross-country and track. He went on to have an outstanding running career at Marquette University. He currently teaches and has had very successful cross-country and track teams winning numerous state team titles.
